The Royal Forest of Dean Bowling Club

The ROYAL FOREST OF DEAN BOWLING CLUB is situated in the heart of the beautiful Forest of Dean, and is part of the “Bells hotel” complex of Golf and Bowling clubs, plus hotel, restaurant, bar, and clubhouse facilities.

Although a part of this great facility, The bowling club is completely self governing. Our 6 rink bowling green is in an ideal location, overlooked by the restaurant and clubhouse. We also boast 4 short mat bowling mats for use during the winter.

We are a mixed club, enjoying a full programme of competitive and friendly matches during the season as well as many club competitions and an active social calendar. We are affiliated to Gloucestershire Bowling Association and to Monmouthshire Short mat Bowling Association.

Our record for 2007 was impressive, winning the Wyvern league for men and ladies plus the Coalminers Association league. We also won the Monmouthshire Short mat league for 2007/8.
